Per Diem Paraprofessional in Stillwater, MN

What Youll Do:

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and daily routines
• Work with students individually and in small groups to support academic growth
• Foster a positive, structured atmosphere by reinforcing classroom rules and expectations
• Provide support to students with special needs, including those with IEPs
• Help manage transitions and supervise students during non-instructional periods
• Adapt to new classrooms, collaborating effectively with staff and students
• Follow lesson plans and directions from the classroom teacher
• Serve as a reliable presence and role model during your shifts

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree or higher preferred
• Able to successfully complete a background check in line with Minnesota regulations
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Capability to work independently and adjust to new settings quickly
• Professionalism and reliability when accepting assignments
• Patience and a sincere passion for helping children
• Preferred: experience in schools or with children, support for special needs students, knowledge of classroom management, or CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
