Responsibilities include:
- Providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students both 1:1 and in small groups
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to facilitate classroom participation and learning routines
- Assisting students through daily transitions, routines, and activities
- Following behavior support strategies and implementing IEPs as needed
- Supporting mobility, offering supervision, and assisting with personal care
- Creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements for school-based compliance:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- TB screening in accordance with district requirements
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and occasionally help lift
- Active, current clearancesor willingness to obtain them before starting
Preferred background and qualities:
- Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Comfort supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT (a plus, not required)
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
