Job Description
Make a difference every day by supporting students as a school-based instructional aide. Flexible, per diem opportunities are available for dedicated paraprofessionals who thrive in fast-paced, compassionate educational environments. As an instructional aide, you'll provide essential support 1:1 or in small groups, helping students reach their full potential while enjoying shift flexibility based on your availability.
Position Highlights:
- Deliver personalized support to students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
- Work directly with teachers and school staff to assist with daily routines, transitions, and learning activities
- Implement behavior plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
- Supervise, assist with mobility, and attend to basic personal care needs to ensure safety and inclusion
- Foster a respectful, nurturing, and structured setting where all students can succeed
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as situations require
- Completion of a current TB test per district policies
- Willingness to complete pre-hire clearances as required by local educational authorities
Preferred Experience:
- Background in school settings, special education, child care, or behavioral health
- Experience supporting children with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (preferred, not mandatory)
- Reliable, positive, and collaborative attitude
