Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Sterling Heights, MI

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Supporting students daily routines, transitions, classroom engagement, and participation
• Assisting with behavior support plans and IEPs
• Supporting students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

To be eligible, youll need:

• A high school diploma or GED
• To be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to meet district TB testing requirements
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current school clearances (or willingness to obtain them prior to start)

Preferred experience includes:

• Work in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus, but not required
• A reliable, patient, and team-focused approach
