Per Diem Paraprofessional in Sterling Heights, MI

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support for students both individually and in groups
• Assist teachers and school staff by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies
• Help students with classroom routines, transitions, participation, and daily activities
• Supervise, assist with mobility, and address personal care needs as required
• Foster a positive, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all learners

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test as required by the district
• Capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Up-to-date clearances (or willingness to obtain them before your start date)

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, childcare, or behavioral health
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Training in CPI, PMT, or as an RBT beneficial but not required
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
