Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Sterling Heights, Michigan

What Youll Do:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classrooms
• Provide individualized or small-group support under direction of school staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEPs when required
• Address mobility, supervision, and, if needed, personal care needs
• Create and maintain safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environments

What Is Needed:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Willing to complete district-required TB test
• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
• Willingness to obtain all required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous paraprofessional or aide experience in schools, special education, or childcare
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (helpful, but not required)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and collaborative spirit
