Job Description
Make a difference supporting students as an Instructional Aide with per diem opportunities in local school settings. Flexible, as-needed assignments allow you to accept shifts when they fit your schedule, providing a rewarding way to contribute to student success and school communities.
In this role, youll:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom environments.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and staff.
- Help with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation.
- Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as necessary.
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs for students.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning space at all times.
To qualify for school-based assignments, youll need:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- To be at least 18 years old.
- The ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed.
- Completion of a current TB test (per district guidelines).
- School compliance clearances (or willingness to obtain them before your start date).
Preferred qualities and experience include:
- Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care.
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
- CPI, PMT, or RBT training is a plus, though not required.
- A dependable, caring, and team-oriented mindset.
