Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Southgate, MI

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test per district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to placement

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in schools, child care, special education, or behavioral health settings
• Background supporting children with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is helpful
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not required
• Loyalty, patience, and a collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group academic and behavioral support in classroom settings
• Implement teacher- and staff-directed lesson plans and student goals
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow IEPs and behavior support plans as directed
• Support students with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs, ensuring an inclusive environment
