Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students, following teacher and school staff direction
• Assist students individually or in small groups to enhance classroom participation
• Support daily routines, transitions, and personal care needs as necessary
• Implement behavior support plans and comply with student IEPs as needed
• Facilitate a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
• Supervise and assist with mobility support and ensure students safety at all times

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test in accordance with district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if necessary
• Able to obtain required clearances before starting (or hold current clearances)

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience assisting students with special needs, including autism or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices is beneficial, but not required
• Demonstrated patience, reliability, and a collaborative approach
