Job Description

Make a real difference every day by providing vital support to students in a dynamic school environment as an Instructional Aide Sub. Flexible, per diem opportunities are available for motivated individuals who are passionate about helping students succeed both academically and socially. Youll step into classroom settings as needed, supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, working closely with teachers and school staff to foster an inclusive and safe learning space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions
  • Provide academic, behavioral, and social support, including 1:1 or small group assistance as directed
  • Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs
  • Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
  • Help maintain a positive and respectful environment for all students
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and support personnel

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Compliant with school health and safety requirements, including TB testing
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting during the school day
  • Current clearances (or willingness to obtain before starting)

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
  • Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
  • Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods is a plus
  • Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
