Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Seattle, Washington

As a valued support professional, youll work closely with teachers and school staff to guide students with academics, socio-emotional growth, and classroom routines. These assignments are ideal for individuals passionate about education and dedicated to helping students thrive on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized or small-group assistance to students based on classroom needs
• Support academic, behavioral, and social development under teacher and staff direction
• Help with daily routines, transitions, and general classroom engagement
• Implement IEPs and behavior support plans as directed
• Offer supervision, support with mobility, and attend to personal care needs when required
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with student lifting if necessary
• Clearances and TB test per district requirements (must be current or obtained before starting)
• Willingness to work as needs arise

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs or autism
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials (a plus, not required)
• Patient, reliable, and collaborative approach
