Per Diem Paraeducator in Seattle, WA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide meaningful support to students in a variety of school settings near Seattle, WA. These per diem roles are a terrific fit for compassionate individuals ready to make a true difference while enjoying flexibility. As an Instructional Aide, youll be vital in helping students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally, offering both one-on-one and small-group guidance within the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate student learning and participation under the direction of teachers and staff
• Provide individualized support for students, including those with special needs
• Aid with daily routines, behavioral support plans, and classroom transitions
• Follow students IEPs or behavior plans as needed
• Supervise safety, assist with mobility, and help with personal care requirements
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test completed (per local requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting if necessary
• Up-to-date clearances prior to start (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, childcare, behavioral health, or special education
• Experience supporting students with autism or behavioral challenges
• Background with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required, but valuable)
• Positive, reliable, and collaborative approach
