Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Santa Ana, CA

What You'll Do:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students in the classroom
• Assist students 1:1 or in small groups, following teacher and staff direction
• Support classroom participation, daily transitions, and routines
• Follow behavior support plans and IEPs under teacher guidance
• Provide mobility, supervision, and personal care support as required
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18 years
• TB test (must comply with district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting students if needed
• Current clearances, or readiness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is helpful but not required
• Approach work with reliability, patience, and teamwork
