Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Santa Ana, California

Make a positive difference as an Instructional Aide Substitute, supporting students 1:1 in a dynamic, school-based environment. What You'll Do:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom settings
• Deliver individualized or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Help students navigate daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs where applicable
• Assist with mobility, close supervision, and personal care needs for assigned students
• Foster a respectful, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Completed TB test, per district requirements
• Able to stand, walk, and provide lifting support as necessary
• Must have or be willing to obtain all necessary clearances before the start date

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (helpful but not required)
• Reliable, patient, and a collaborative team player
