Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Santa Ana, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in the classroom
• Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by educators
• Support students daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEPs as required
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs where applicable
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Willingness to complete a TB test as required by the district
• Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting as needed
• All required clearances must be current or obtained before starting

Preferred Background:

• Experience working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience helpful but not mandatory
• A patient, reliable, and collaborative approach
