As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you will play a vital part in supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, ensuring every child has the assistance they need to thrive. Per diem shifts offer the flexibility to pick up assignments that suit your schedule and school coverage needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support in classrooms
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and staff
• Help students manage daily routines, transitions, and participate in classroom activities
• Follow behavior support plans and implement accommodations per IEPs as needed
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum age: 18 years
• TB test in accordance with district guidelines
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Ability to provide or secure background clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not mandatory)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
