As an Instructional Aide substitute, youll provide essential 1:1 or small-group support to students, guided by teachers and school staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage student participation and support individualized learning needs
- Assist with daily routines, classroom transitions, and mobility when required
- Follow behavior support strategies and assist in implementing IEPs
- Provide supervision and personal care tailored to student needs
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist students with lifting
- Current TB test (per school requirements)
- Willingness to complete necessary clearances
Preferred Background:
- Experience in school, behavioral health, special education, or childcare
- Familiarity working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT training is beneficial but not compulsory
- Patient, reliable, and collaborative attitude
