Per Diem Teacher's Aide - San Marcos, California

What youll do:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group academic and behavioral assistance under teacher or staff supervision
• Encourage student participation and help with classroom routines, transitions, and mobility needs
• Implement behavior support plans, following IEPs as needed
• Supervise and assist students with special needs, supporting inclusive learning
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment

Whats required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Up-to-date TB test (per district guidelines)
• Able to stand, walk, and help with lifting if necessary
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, child care, or behavioral health settings
• Experience supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (not required)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and team spirit
