Per Diem 3rd Grade Teacher Assistant | San Marcos, California

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for per diem opportunities supporting schools near San Marcos, CA. Youll provide vital 1:1 or small-group support under the direction of teachersmaking a direct, positive impact on elementary learners, including those in 3rd grade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academic, behavioral, and social growth within classroom and school settings
• Deliver individualized or small-group instruction and assistance as outlined by educational staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and encourage classroom participation
• Implement behavior plans and follow IEPs as necessary
• Aid with supervision, mobility, and personal care when required
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• TB test per district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current school-required clearances (or willingness to obtain before starting)

Preferred Background:

• Previous experience working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism spectrum
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus but not essential
• Reliable, patient, and committed to teamwork
