Per Diem Instructional Aide - San Diego, CA

In this role, you will:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group academic and behavioral support under the guidance of school staff
• Encourage inclusive participation and assist students with classroom routines and transitions
• Implement behavior support plans and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) as instructed
• Support student mobility, supervision, and, when necessary, personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom atmosphere

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to meet school compliance requirements (current TB test, clearances, or willingness to obtain these prior to starting)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance
• Preferred: Prior experience in schools, special education, child care, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not essential
• Dependable, patient, and team-oriented individuals will thrive
