Per Diem Instructional Assistant - San Diego, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are currently needed to provide essential support for students in dynamic, engaging school environments near San Diego, CA. These per diem positions offer flexibilityaccept assignments based on your schedule and the coverage needs of local schools. Step into a meaningful role, working 1:1 or with small groups, and make a real difference in students educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally within classroom environments
• Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance under the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Assist with routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement student behavior support plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Offer mobility, supervision, and personal care support where appropriate
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning space

School Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Recent TB test (per district policy)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting if required
• Current school clearances or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare environments
• Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices is a plus (not mandatory)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a team-oriented attitude
