Per Diem Paraprofessional in Sacramento, CA

Instructional Aide subs are needed to provide essential support within local schools near Sacramento, CA. As a valued member in this per diem, as-needed role, youll work directly with studentsoffering 1:1 guidance and classroom support, helping them succeed both academically and behaviorally. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting students academically, behaviorally, and socially during classroom activities
• Providing 1:1 or small group assistance under the direction of teachers and staff
• Assisting with daily routines, transitions, and helping students participate fully in class
• Implementing behavior support plans and following IEPs as directed
• Aiding with student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all

Requirements for school compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Current TB test (or willing to obtain per district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Willingness to obtain or update background clearances before starting

Preferred experience:

• Work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience a plus (but not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
