As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you will:

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social needs in the classroom
• Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance under the direction of teachers and school staff
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and encourage classroom participation
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and adhere to students IEPs as required
• Help with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs as appropriate
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners

Required qualifications for this role include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Georgia Paraprofessional Certification
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and offer lifting assistance if needed
• Current TB test (per district guidelines)
• Up-to-date clearances, or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred experience includes prior work in educational, behavioral, or childcare settings, and familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges. CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required. Successful candidates are reliable, patient, and work well in a team.
