Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct 1:1 or small-group support in classrooms under teacher and staff direction
• Assisting students academically, behaviorally, and socially to foster successful participation
• Supporting daily routines, transitions, and student engagement throughout the school day
• Implementing behavior intervention plans and following IEPs where required
• Helping with mobility, supervision, and basic personal care tasks as needed
• Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere at all times

School compliance requirements for this role:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• TB test in accordance with district protocols
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Willingness to obtain or show proof of current clearances prior to start

Preferred experience:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT procedures (not required, but a plus)
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
