Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Riverside, CA

Key Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with student lifting or mobility as needed
• TB test, plus current or obtainable background clearances as required by the school
• Willingness to follow school/district guidelines and implement plans with care

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT approaches is helpful, but not mandatory
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a team-based approach

Responsibilities:

• Follow direction from teachers and staff to support students social, academic, and behavioral needs
• Provide targeted 1:1 or small-group assistance, including supporting classroom routines and participation
• Implement behavior support plans and IEP instructions when applicable
• Assist with personal care routines and student supervision
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment
