Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Rio Vista, California

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to support students in dynamic school environments on a flexible, per diem basis. Make a genuine difference as a key resource in helping students achieve academic and behavioral success. As an Instructional Aide, your role is vital: youll work directly with students, supporting them individually and in small groups while assisting teachers and school staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students throughout the school day, both academically and socially
• Providing direct 1:1 or small-group support based on classroom needs
• Helping students manage routines, transitions, and participation in classroom activities
• Implementing behavior support plans and following IEPs as necessary
• Supporting students with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all

School compliance is essential. To qualify, you must have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a TB test (per district requirement)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current or willingness to obtain required background clearances before beginning

Preferred candidates bring:

• Experience in schools, child care, behavioral health, or special education settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques (a plus, not required)
• A reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
