Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Renton, WA

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students individually or in small groups with classroom activities as directed by teachers or staff
• Support students academic engagement and behavior within structured classroom environments
• Help with daily student routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans or IEPs when applicable
• Ensure safe supervision, support mobility, and provide personal care as needed
• Foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere for all students

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• TB test and appropriate clearances (current or able to obtain before starting)
• Experience in education, behavioral health, or childcare preferred
• Experience with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is a plus
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training helpful but not mandatory
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative mindset
