Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Renton, WA

What Youll Do:

• Support students academically and behaviorally in classroom settings, both 1:1 and in small groups
• Assist teachers and school staff with daily routines, transitions, and increasing classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow students IEPs as directed
• Provide mobility, supervision, and personal care assistance when necessary
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners

Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Recent TB test (requirements may vary)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting students as needed
• Willingness to obtain or provide current clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certifications welcomed but not necessary
• Reliable, patient, and highly collaborative approach
