Per Diem Paraprofessional in Redding, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are currently needed to assist students in a supportive, school-based environment. As an Instructional Aide, you'll work closely with teachers and school staff, offering essential academic, behavioral, and social support to students. Whether working 1:1 or with small groups, your efforts ensure consistent participation, safe learning spaces, and enhanced outcomes for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Provide individualized attention or small-group assistance as guided by educational staff
• Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and student participation
• Follow and implement behavior support strategies and IEP plans as directed
• Aid in supervision, support mobility, and assist with personal care if required
• Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture

Essential Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Up-to-date TB test (per school requirements)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Ability to obtain or update required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior role in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT (helpful but not mandatory)
• Collaborative, patient, and dependable approach
