Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academic performance and classroom engagement
• Assist teachers and school staff with instruction, transitions, and daily routines
• Provide 1:1 or small-group interventions, including behavior support and IEP accommodations
• Help with mobility, personal care, supervision, and fostering inclusion
• Contribute to a safe, positive, and respectful learning atmosphere
• Follow directions from educators and implement Behavior Support Plans as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current TB test (as per district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
• School clearances required, or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, child care, or behavioral health
• Experience supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (helpful but not mandatory)
• Patient, collaborative, and adaptable mindset
