Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized assistance to students, both individually and in small groups, as guided by teachers and school staff
• Help students navigate daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide support with mobility, supervision, and personal care tasks when necessary
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere at all times

Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• One of the following: ParaPro certification, Substitute Teaching certification, or at least 36 college credits
• 18 years of age or older
• Current or willing to obtain TB test per district guidelines
• Physically able to stand, walk, and occasionally help with lifting
• Current background clearances, or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in educational, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is desirable but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
