Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Make a positive impact in local schools as a substitute Instructional Aide, Instructional Assistant, or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) on a per diem, as-needed basis. In this role, you will:

• Provide support in classrooms and one-on-one with students, working closely under the direction of certified teachers
• Assist with academic engagement, behavior management, and daily routines to help students thrive throughout their school day
• Offer personalized attention, including mobility, supervision, and personal care support for those with additional needs (PCA-specific)
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Candidates must meet Pennsylvania school employment standards, including:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years old
• Completion of PA Act 34 Criminal Background Check, PA Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, PA Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting, and TB test per district guidelines
• Ability to assist students physically, including standing, walking, and lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, or child care
• Experience working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• Training in CPI, PMT, RBT, or similar approaches (not required)
• A dependable, compassionate, and professional approach
