Per Diem Classroom Aide | Palo Cedro, California

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to help shape positive learning experiences for students in an engaging K-12 setting near Palo Cedro, CA. This per diem, as-needed position offers flexibility, making it a great fit for individuals interested in building a career in education while managing a schedule that works for them. Youll play an active role in classrooms, working 1:1 or in small groups to assist students with academic tasks, support behavioral goals, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

What Youll Do:

• Provide individualized academic and behavioral support, both in classrooms and during transitions
• Assist with daily routines and encourage student participation
• Help implement behavior plans and follow IEPs under teacher direction
• Supervise students, supporting mobility and personal care needs when necessary
• Foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere for all learners
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other aides to best support student needs

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Recent TB test (per district guidelines)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current school clearances or the willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, childcare, or behavioral support
• Background supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification (helpful, but not required)
• Reliable, empathetic, and comfortable working in a team environment
