Per Diem Instructional Aide in Palmdale, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Assist students individually or in small groups at the direction of teachers and school staff
• Help students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEP documentation as required
• Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care to students as needed
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive setting for all learners

To be eligible, candidates must have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years old
• Ability to obtain a TB test per district requirements
• Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting as needs arise
• Willingness to obtain all necessary school clearances prior to starting

Preferred qualities and experience:

• Experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Exposure to CPI, PMT, or RBT protocols is an advantage (not required)
• Strong reliability, patience, and teamwork skills are highly valued
