Per Diem Instructional Aide - Palmdale, CA

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Help with daily routines, classroom participation, and smooth transitions between activities
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and IEPs as needed
• Support supervision, mobility, and personal care for students requiring additional assistance
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current or willingness to obtain TB test (per district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• Must have or be willing to obtain required clearances

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience valued but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
