Per Diem Instructional Aide - Painted Post, NY

As an Instructional Aide, you will work 1:1 or in small groups with students who benefit from extra academic, behavioral, or social support. Assignments are tailored to school coverage needs, offering you the flexibility to accept shifts as they fit your lifestyle.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized support to students as directed by teachers
• Assisting with classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions
• Implementing behavior plans and following student IEPs as needed
• Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements
• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners
• Collaborating with school staff to ensure continuity of care

To be eligible for this role, you are required to have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Age 18 or older
• TB test (per district guidelines)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current or attainable clearances

Preferred, though not required, experience includes working within educational, behavioral health, or child care settings, as well as supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges. CPI, PMT, or RBT backgrounds are a plus. Dependability, patience, and a collaborative spirit are highly valued.
