Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Oxnard, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for per diem opportunities supporting students 1:1 within school-based settings near Oxnard, CA. This flexible, as-needed position is ideal for compassionate individuals who thrive in dynamic educational environments and want the chance to truly impact students' academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
• Deliver 1:1 and small group assistance under the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and encourage classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as required
• Aid mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as directed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere for all students

School Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18 years
• TB test compliant with district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• All required clearances must be current or obtained before the first assignment

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training/proficiency a plus (not required)
• Reliability, patience, and an enthusiastic, team-oriented approach
