Responsibilities include:

• Providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings
• Assisting students one-on-one or in small groups, as directed by teachers and staff
• Supporting daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Implementing behavior support strategies and following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), where applicable
• Assisting with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners

School compliance requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age: 18 years
• TB test, as required by the district
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Updated clearances, or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred skills and background:

• Experience working in educational, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is an advantage
• Paraprofessional Educator Certification or Teaching Assistant Certification a plus
• Reliable, patient, and highly collaborative approach
