Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Oroville, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, social, and behavioral assistance to students as directed by teachers and staff
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students to support their classroom participation and daily routines
• Implement educational and behavior support plans, adhering to IEPs when required
• Assist with supervision, transitions, mobility, and personal care as needed
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test (as required by school policy)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with occasional lifting
• Must have or be willing to obtain all required clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in school, child care, behavioral health, or special education settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices is a plus
• Reliable, patient, and a collaborative attitude
