Per Diem Teacher Aide | Oroville, California

School Paraprofessional Subs are needed for immediate per diem assignments supporting students in school environments. As an Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed both academically and socially, working one-on-one or in small groups as directed by educational staff.

What youll do:

• Offer direct academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings
• Assist students individually or in small groups, following teachers instructions
• Help with daily activities, classroom transitions, and promoting active participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEP guidelines as needed
• Support students with mobility, supervision, and aspects of personal care
• Maintain an inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environment

To qualify, you must have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current TB test (as per district guidelines)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Up-to-date clearances or willingness to obtain these before starting

Preferred experience includes:

• Experience in educational, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings
• Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, including those on the autism spectrum or with behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training (a plus, not required)
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
