Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Oceanside, California

As an integral classroom resource, youll work directly with studentsprimarily 1:1 or in small groupshelping them navigate their academic routines, supporting behavior plans, and assisting with daily classroom activities. Your presence makes a tangible difference in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

What Youll Do:

• Offer academic, social, and behavioral support to students, both individually and in groups
• Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and support students participation
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and personal care needs as required
• Follow behavior intervention strategies and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom community
• Help supervise, encourage mobility, and provide additional assistance as directed

What Youll Need:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Completed or willingness to complete a TB test per school guidelines
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if needed
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in a school, behavioral health, or child care setting
• Background working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus, but not required
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
