Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Oceanside, California

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for impactful, flexible opportunities supporting students 1:1 in school-based settings near Oceanside, CA. As an essential part of the educational team, youll play a direct role in helping students achieve their full potential, all while enjoying the flexibility of per diem, as-needed shifts based on school coverage requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom environments
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and instructional staff
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and fostering active participation
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEP accommodations as needed
• Support supervision, mobility, and personal care, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
• Uphold a respectful, engaging atmosphere to promote student well-being

Requirements (For School Compliance):

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test (per district requirement)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and provide lifting/physical assistance as required
• Background clearances (current or able to obtain before starting)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a school, childcare, special education, or behavioral health setting
• Skilled in supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required
• Demonstrates reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
