Per Diem Paraeducator in Oceanside, CA

Instructional Aide substitute opportunities are available for compassionate individuals eager to support students in a structured and dynamic school environment. Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings
• Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teaching staff and school personnel
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and engagement in classroom activities
• Follow and implement individualized educational and behavioral support plans (including IEPs when relevant)
• Assist with mobility, personal care, and supervision requirements as needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum age of 18
• Completion of a recent TB test in accordance with school guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and physically assist students when necessary
• Current fingerprint/background clearances, or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, child care, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Training in CPI, PMT, RBT, or similar methods is valued, though not required
• Demonstrated patience, reliability, and collaborative spirit
