Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Oakland, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance as directed by educators and school staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and full participation in classroom activities
• Implement behavior support plans and closely follow IEPs as needed
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements for designated students
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test according to current district requirements
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Able to obtain required clearances prior to starting

Preferred Background:

• Experience within schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus, but not required
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
