Per Diem Instructional Aide in Oakland, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual or small group academic, behavioral, and social support in classroom settings
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow teacher and school staff direction to implement instructional and behavioral support plans
• Support students in accordance with IEPs and behavior intervention strategies
• Supervise and assist with mobility and personal care needs as needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Current TB test (as required by district)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Willingness to obtain and maintain all necessary school clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior exposure to school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certifications are a plus, but not required
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative working style
