Per Diem Paraeducator in Northbrook, IL

What You'll Do:

• Deliver 1:1 or small-group support as directed by teachers and staff
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavioral strategies and IEP plans when applicable
• Help with supervision, mobility, or personal care as assigned
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current TB test (per district guidelines)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Up-to-date clearances or willingness to obtain them

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (not mandatory)
• A collaborative, patient, and reliable approach
