Per Diem Teacher Aide | Newberry Springs, California

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to provide essential support for students in school settings on a flexible, per diem basis. Perfect for caring professionals, these roles focus on offering 1:1 and small-group assistance to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students in classrooms by providing both academic and behavioral support
• Offer 1:1 or small-group help under teacher and staff guidance
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior plans and follow IEPs as directed
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Age 18 or older
• TB test as required by the district
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting if necessary
• Must have current background clearances or be willing to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral support
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (not mandatory)
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative attitude
