The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, with hours on a per diem, as-needed basisoffering flexibility to fit around your schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Education Aide Permit is required
• Extensive fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience working with students in K-12 settings is highly valued
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized and group instructional programs
• Use ASL to support effective communication with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring full participation and access to curriculum
• Foster positive, inclusive classroom environments that encourage student engagement
• Help with classroom management, monitor student progress, and provide feedback
• Support students with varying academic, social, or behavioral needs, adapting assistance based on individual learning goals
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to track progress and maintain documentation as required
