Per Diem Paraprofessional in Naperville, IL

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to provide essential 1:1 support to students in a variety of classroom environments near Naperville, IL. These per diem, as-needed roles offer flexible scheduling based on school coverage needs, making them perfect for caring professionals eager to have a positive influence in an educational setting. Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social assistance to students within classrooms
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group support as guided by teachers and staff
• Help with daily routines, transitions, and overall classroom engagement
• Implement behavior interventions and adhere to IEP guidelines when required
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment

Requirements (for School Compliance):

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test, as required by district
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide physical assistance as needed
• Up-to-date clearances, or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience with special needs, autism spectrum, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required)
• Demonstrates patience, reliability, and a collaborative spirit
