Job Description
Help create a meaningful impact in local schools as an Instructional Aide Substitute! Per diem opportunities are now available for compassionate professionals looking to support students in a structured, encouraging environment. This role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work closely with children, helping them succeed every day.
Ideal candidates are those with a strong sense of empathy and patience who thrive providing 1:1 support to students needing additional assistance. Assignments are offered on an as-needed basis, allowing you to choose shifts that accommodate your lifestyle and commitments.
What Youll Do:
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
- Assist students individually or in small groups, following teacher direction
- Help students with daily routines, transitions, and participate in classroom activities
- Follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
- Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care tasks
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist students with lifting if required
- Completion of TB test (per school requirements)
- Willingness to obtain school background clearances prior to starting
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in classrooms, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials (not required, but a plus)
- Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
